Venue
This
year's conference location, Versailles, is situated in
the center of France, close to Paris at the 'Palais de
Congres' (www.viparis.com).
The
City
Versailles, a city renowned for its Chateau¡, the Palace of Versailles,
was the de facto capital of the kingdom of France for over a century, from
1682 to 1789. The palace of Versailles was built by Louis XIII and came to
fame under the so called Sun King Louis the XIV, who enlarged the castle and
moved the court and the government permanently in Versailles. With the reign
of Louis XV around 100 years later, Versailles grew even further. During that
time Versailles was the capital of the most powerful kingdom in Europe, and
the whole of Europe admired the new architecture and design trends coming from
Versailles.
Today
Versailles is a wealthy suburb of Paris and remains an important
administrative and judicial center.

The city can be reached by car and train, the closest airports are the international
airports of Paris (Orly & Charles de Gaulle) which can be reached via
the Metro (www.ratp.fr),
train (paristrain.wordpress.com)
or an Airport Taxi service such as: (paris.taxi-airport-transfers.com).

Venue
The venue of this year's conference is full of character and located in the
square of the Chateau de Versailles, in the city center of Versailles, right
across the famous castle. It offers a big exhibition space, several prestigious
auditoriums and meeting rooms for our keynote and technical sessions.
