Optimization of Fast-Moving, Highly Precise Mechanisms
Frank Harmeling, Karl Mayer
The knitting motion in textile machines is generated by mechanisms.
The mechanisms parts perform a periodical planar or spatial
motion at high frequencies. This affords an optimal lightweight
construction. This paper demonstrates how the Equivalent Static
Loads Method is advantageous applied for the optimization
of such systems with time-varying loads and boundary conditions.
Especially the topic of an efficient automated modelling is
addressed.
