From Drawings to Topology Optimization - Development Process

During the last 10 years the IT landscape has dramatically
changed.
Today’s hard- and software offers new possibilities,
which
lead to a change of tasks within the development
process.
With the introduction of a FEM based design
with CATIA V5 and "Hypershape for CATIA",
this change of process and the conditions for
a successful implementation of new software
will be presented in this paper.
