Abstract:
Altair has made considerable investments into its enterprise technology. This presentation
describes the market demands driving this investment, the resulting offering and the
future direction Altair is taking with its technology.
Biography
Previous Work History:
From Oct 2008 he is leading the Enterprise Products Altair division that includes 3 brands – Hyperworks Enterprise, HiQube and PBS – and all of the founding technologies.
He is in charge of defining the current market positioning of the existing products as well
as their evolution path
2005 –2008: Altair Engineering Inc, VP Advanced Technologies. In charge of scouting
new tech and, eventually, perform their acquisition
1994 – 2005: CEO at Altair Engineering Srl (8 ML$ Italian sub) Within his responsibilities
he has been in charge for research in many R&D Altair's projects, both Italian and
EU, and is co-holder of some patents and articles.
1992 – 1994: CAE team Director at Gems Srl, an italian CAE-CAM software house
1990 – 1992: Alenia Spazio, selling commercial applications on space flights.
Education:
Turin's Polytechnic University - Master in Mechanical Engineering (laude). His degree thesis
was "Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation of interaction between a pressure
exchanger and a controlled ignition engine".
